Do you mind if I whine?

I'll share the wine.
:)

I've done some stupid things in my life.  Like the time I'd stopped at the store, fell  out of the car with my butt on the pavement and feet still in the driver's seat; with my daughter, then tiny, screeching "whar's my ice cream?"

Or, the time I was coming out of B*ger K*ng (after getting ketchup I'd forgotten in those little cups for my then little brother) losing a flip flop and going down on my knees; with the ketchup all over my face in front of God and everyone, then my bro asking "where's the ketchup?"

Or, the time I was walking out of a restaurant and stepped off the curb leaving my butt in the air & face planting on the pavement.

But, none of those things left me in too much pain, mostly embarrassed and I could laugh after it was over.

Sunday, playing with Hunter; I was sitting on the floor with her trying to help her find a crayon that had rolled under the cedar chest.  I went down sideways trying to get a better view under there, and fell hard on my elbow.  I heard two pops.  Yesterday, I went to my doc, and YEP two fractured ribs.  At least this time, no one saw me except Hunter. But, I will say even with pain pills, I couldn't sleep last night; every time I moved, it hurt like HECK!  So, that's my whine for today.
:)
Now, with it being leap year my friend Emmy Lou and I went out to find us some dudes to propose to.  We got dressed up for the occasion!  I don't understand what happened, do you?
Have a great day,
and I'll try to keep my whining to a minimum!

Hunter Emilee, today you are six years old.  I can hardly believe it.  You are my sunshine, my hope,
my heart.  Happy Birthday, Punkin!

Ms Brenda Photo Challenge....

Some of my favorite things...
I found this document where my great grandmother, Martha, after her husband died, homesteaded 160 acres in W. Fla in 1899; signed by President McKinley.  I like to think I come from a line of strong women.
The bean pot that my mom's best friend, Gracie, gave to Mom on her 30th birthday in 1948.
Hand sewn quilt by my grandmother; one of my very favorite people ever!
Priceless.

I'm sorry I don't have time for more, Hunter is back to spend the weekend and she's demanding all my
"intention".

I'm on my way, baby.....

Memaw, where is my cell phone?
Awwww, there it is!
How do you like my new arm rest?
And, let us not forget my Sissie:
She was making her own lunch!
She's a big girl now!
She'll be SIX on Monday.

I sure enjoyed the girls today, and I know it did my daughter a lot of good to spend time with her grandchildren.

Patti told me that when I was feeding Rylan, Hunter asked her: "How long has Memaw been holding Sissie?"

When I was putting the seal belt on Hunter, I told her I loved her, and she said:
"I love you too, but I think Sissie was getting all the
INTENTION!

The end.

My little Valentine.....

Yesterday, Britt had misplaced her keys, so I went to St. Augustine to pick Hunter up from school.  Naturally, we went to Dairy Queen.
Me: "Hunter you look so tired!"
Her: "I AM, I've been up since the crack of dawn!"
"I guess you don't feel like goin' to the park."
"Yes I DO!"

A bit later, I recognized her Papa's brother.  She went over to talk, and boy did she talk!
I asked her later what they talked about.
She shrugs like "I don't know."
"Well, did he ask you about your baby sister?"

"Yes, and I told him about her butt rash!"
Happy Valentine's Day!

Just rec'd this from Hunter's May May taken today at horse camp.  She's been looking forward to this for weeks. I was glad to see her hat helmet!
This is how long she's loved riding.

So, this blonde....

A once attractive blonde had gained some weight, and decided she wanted to get the extra pounds off for good. She went to her family doctor and asked him to put her on a special diet plan. The doctor told her to give him a few minutes and he would give her a plan that would get the inches off in no time.

When the doctor returned he started telling her her plan. "Eat what you want to on Monday, then skip a day." He told her to do this in a pattern. Eat what you want one day, then skip the next.

The blonde came back in a month before she was supposed to, looking as stunning as ever. The doctor began to get worried and asked the beautiful blonde how she got that weight off so fast. They blonde wiped the sweat from her brow and replied:

"All that skipping!"

Have a great day!
I'm gonna skip over to get a haircut.
Wish me luck.

Is there anything sweeter....

than a child happy to see you?
I was waiting in the pickup line at school yesterday;  I saw Hunter before she saw me.  When she did, her
face lit up and she ran to the car.

In that particular instant, I was reminded in a flash;
my daughter at that age, my granddaughter, grandson, now my great granddaughter.  For me, these are the real blessings in life.

As we drove away, I asked Hunter what she'd like to do:
"Let's go somewhere to relax in private, just me and you together."  Well, we ended up riding the trolley through St. Augustine, not really private but relaxing and we enjoyed every moment.  Here are a few scenes:
The four hundred year old oak.
And now,
a tired little girl giving one last toot on the whistle.
